ATLAS Learning Technology consultant

Description:

The ATLAS learning technology consultant will help and orient instructors and students to use supported learning technologies in LAS courses. Technologies include course management systems, portfolio systems, conferencing systems, web publishing, etc. Help will be provided in the form of face-to-face workshops, by email and by live chat/conference. 

Responsibilities: 

* developing support documentation for learning technologies like Moodle, Mahara, Wimba, Podcast Producer, Elluminate
* developing/maintaining knowledgebase of solutions to support learning technologies
* answering user support questions asynchronously (email)/synchronously (IM/Screensharing)
* help develop and deliver technology orientation materials for LAS courses
* referring users to other campus resources when appropriate

Qualifications: 

Required:
* Familiarity and interest in learning technologies
* Good communication skills (written and oral)
* Good technical problem-solving skills

Desired:
* Good people skills
* Basic familiarity with HTML
* Familiarity with synchronous conferencing (skype, elluminate, adobe connect, IM/chat)
* experience using a knowledgebase
* experience providing technical support
* available for summer appointment

Compensation: 

$15,000 for 9 month appointment. Summer appointment also available.
