Last Day to be added to the October Degree List
Friday, September 4
If you will be graduating this October and have not already
added yourself to the degree list, please contact your
department office to be added to the October 2009 degree list.
Note: If you were planning to graduate in May or August and didn’t
quite make it, you will need to reapply in order to graduate in
October. Aren’t sure if you’re on the degree list for
October? Please check with your graduate department.

Reducing your Credits Hours?
Make changes before Friday, September 4, 5:00 PM.
Students who reduce their semester course enrollment to a
lower assessment range (for example, to 0 hours, or from
Range I, 12 or more hours, to Range II, 6-11 hours) will receive
a refund for the full difference between the two ranges,
provided the change is made by 5:00 p.m., Friday, September
4, 2009. No refund for Reduction in Range is available thereafter.
Unlike Withdrawing from the University completely, there is
no pro-rating of tuition and fees for Reduction in Range.
It is easy to confuse these two actions.
For information on Reduction of Program Range, please consult
the Registrar’s web site:
www.registrar.illinois.edu/financial/refunds_FALL.html
================================================
Learning and Collaboration with Illinois Chat
Sign up today for Illinois Chat, the university-supported, instant
messaging service that allows faculty and staff members and students
to chat within the safety and security of the university network
(NetID-only access). Group chat rooms, restricted to authorized users
only, are also available.

Auditing a Class?

Auditors are listeners in classes and not class participants. If you
are auditing a course, please note that Graduate College policy
states that students should take the Auditor’s Permit form to the
first class meeting and ask the instructor to sign the form indicating
approval. Forms need to be submitted to the Graduate College.
Audit forms are available at the Graduate College or at:
www.registrar.illinois.edu/staff/pdf/records/Auditors_Permit.pdf
Please see the Graduate Student Handbook for more
information on auditing a course:
