Summer Research Opportunities Program (SROP) at Illinois
SROP at Illinois brings talented undergraduate students from across the US and its territories, such as Puerto Rico, to our campus as an introduction to graduate study, research and the admission process. SROP has served more than 1,500 students since 1986.

2010 Summer Pre-Doctoral Institute (SPI)
SPI provides incoming graduate students from populations underrepresented in graduate programs on our campus with an eight-week orientation to graduate study, including an opportunity to work with their assigned research advisor or a faculty mentor in their department.
